2000 Ford Ranger

I have just had the wire harness changed and the truck cannot go into gear properly. It only goes to a low gear and doesnt shift up at all. It clunks into reverse.

What wiring harness? Does speedometer work?

The front wire harness, the speedometer does not work. Also wire harness and computer were changed

I would be checking over what you did make sure its all hooked up right and components near what you messed with wernt damaged.

Sounds to me like you have a bad vss or vehicle speed sensor.
