While using a puller to pull the crankshaft pulley off my 97 Ranger 4cyl the shaft went into my crankshaft hole, and cross threaded the crank. Is it possible for me to tap the crank threads, and still possibly use the same bolt, if so what size tap would I need. The bolt is a 22mm bolt.
Thanks for your help.

Yes you can retap a hole tha a pulley puller screwed up. Next time put the bolt about halfway in the hole and let the puller ride against that. If it's 22mm you are probably talking about the head of the bolt, not the actual thread. Butyou would need to get a tap the same size as the bolt thread. That could be 1.0mm 1.25 mm or 1.5mm. Take it to a hardware store or auto parts store and see if they have atap that size. Actually an auto parts store ay be better as they could probably look up what size the tap should be. Then carefully tap the hole at least 1/2" in or more. Make sure to use some tap lube then clean it out with choke cleaner and blow it out. Then oil up the bolt when you reinstall it. Do this before installing the pulley again.

Thank you for your time, and answer.
Yes the head is a 22mm. I will have to go to a machine shop to see what size the thread the bolt is, and which Tap would work good for me. Crazy how a simple mistake can cause so much hassle.
