1991 Ford Ranger vehicle shutting down

I had a shade-tree machanic do a tune-up on the truck the since that time the truck cranks fine and idles fine, but when you put you foot on the gas pedal it stalls out and if it idles for a period of time it stalls out. Today we changed the throttle position sensor. Spark plugs wires, fuel filter, and plugs have also been changed.

If the problem only started after the tune up, chances are he knocked a vacuum lone off. Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Has the check engine light come on?
