Starts up runs for a little bit, then dies, replaced pickup coil, not the problem, after replacing pickup coil ran for a little while, won't start at all. Could it be the coil, since it's not getting any spark at all? Please help.

Replaced the ECM, replaced distributor cap, rotor button, ignition coil, now starts up, and shuts off. Started right up as soon as ECM was replaced. Haven't replaced the little silver unit next to the coil, with one plug on it, could that be part of the problem, and if so, what is that piece called? Thank you.
