The motor that powers the convertible top failed, either it has burned out or shorted. Don't know which yet.

Can the motor be disengaged so I can manually open and close the top. Right now its stuck in a partially opened positon.

are you sure the motor is getting power? i.e. checked fuses and relays.. also it could be the switch and not the motor at all. also i assume you know that the vehicle must be going no faster than 5 MPH for the top to operate.

i have not yet found a manual override for the top
