2001 Ford Mustang V6 All Wheel Drive Automatic 55350 miles

The seat belt reminder system activates every 30 seconds and lasts for 6 seconds at a time, and it drives me CRAZY!! It only does this for 5 minutes, but since it only takes me 6 minutes to get to work..... Is there any way to deactivate it? I realize this could be a safety issue. Thanks for any and all help!!

the traditional way to turn it off is buckle your seatbelt. That work real well, but there is a deactivation sequence in the vehicle owners manual that will silence the bell. The light will still flash, but at least the noise won't drive ya nuts. And remember---buckle up (it's the law)
