2001 Ford Mustang EGR valve

I have a 2001 Mustang. Service engine light is on constant. Code is EGR valve. I replaced all 3 components in the EGR system and no luck. Any ideas what it may be?

Ok I went to have the code pulled again. The EGR code is gone now. Giving a code P0457 and 456. These are related to fuel cap. I also had check fuel cap light on, found that to be the gasket where the filler neck goes into gas tank. Replaced that and check fuel cap light went off. Why didnt the service engine light?
