Damage the emission pump replacement?

I want to know is it possible to damage the emission pump on a 2000 mustang by hitting a bumper or a curve and it hits the bottom of your car my sister went over a bumper and after that the check engine light when on

Hi,

The secondary air pump is a smaller unit that is mounted in a position to prevent damage. I'm not sure it would be possible for it to hit by driving over a bump.

The pump is actually located inside the fender. If you remove the inner fender liner, you would find it. (Passenger side).
