Electrical problem
1998 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I bought a 1998 mustang gt that was salvaged with some seriously heavy front end damage. Now that I have most the front end damage repaired and car ready to roll, I tried starting the car. Nothing.I decided the battery was pretty shot so replaced it. Still nothing. Replaced the tumbler. Still nothing, checked the wiring and though I am no electrician it looks like its all correct.I tried using my diagnostic trouble code machine and it shows NOTHING. Car will fire right up when shorted across the starter with a screw driver but wont even tumble with the keys in the ignition. Any ideas?

Check to make sure teh starter relay/solenoid is good. If that is good then you should be checking the neutral start switch to make sure that it is working properly. Try starting it in different gears. Check solenoid first before digging into neutral start switch issues.
