My '96 Mustang is now wasting loads of gasoline and my "Check Engine" light is on. The computer reader says the problem is the IAC valve and I'm in the process of having it replaced. Is there anything else I should check as well in order to ensure the problem does not resurface? Thank you for your help in this matter!

THE EGR VALVE OR SENSOR-GO TO AUTOZONE AND BORROW A CODE READER FOR $100 and return it back for a full refund before 30 days or was it 90 days. The codes for the EGR are P041 and P042-see if that is them.
