Experiencing high idle after adding OTC fuel injector cleaner to fuel. Is now idling around 2,000 RPM, drops to 1700 - 1800 RPM after a few minutes. Had been idling normal prior to adding cleaner.

Ok this may or may not have anything to do with the cleaner. I need to ask a few questions first ok. Is the check engine light on? If not then have you disconnected the battery to see if things reset? If the engine light is on do not disconnect the battery as I will walk you through how to pull codes with a test light and paper clip. Get back to me.

Thanks for responding to my question. No, the check engine light had not come on, I disconnected battery, cleaned both posts and clamps, waited then reconnected, restarted engine, did not RESET itself.

Ok does you Mustang have a mass air flow meter? If so unplug it and see how it idles. Get back to me.
