The check engine light has been coming on intermittently lately. Sometimes when it comes on it will stay on all day and some days it won't come on at all. When it does come on the RPM's drop down to around 450 or 500 rpm. When the light goes off the rpm's come back up to normal. Is there a way that I can reset the check engine light so that it doesn't keep coming on or is there some other problem that I can't seem to locate/

Check the engine codes (analog voltmeter and jumper wire) and see wut code(s) the pcm is throwing on the cel for, but sounds like its running lean and the pcm is retarding the timing causing it to lower the rpms, o2 sensor, ect sensor
