1989 Ford Mustang when I turn the key to start it I dont ge

When I turn the key to start it I get no power to anything and it wont start at all nor get power. What can cause this?

The ignition switch under the dash can cause this and the wires under the hood going to your solenoid can cause this. First thing is make sure ur battery has a good charge in it. You need a test light to test the wires on the solenoid to make sure they have power. 1 side of the solenoid should have power n the other side will not. Check all the wires on the side that the battery attaches to. Also check all those same wires for power after the fuesable links! Let me know what u find out.
