Im desparate to change front discs ive done exactly as it says in haynes but cannot get discs off hub im hammering from behind but they will not budge do they have to be heated please help im desparate many thanks in advance melv

DO NOT use heat! You will damage the hub bearing, spray penetrating oil, whack with a large ball peen hammer on outer edge of the hub, then let the oil work for a few hours. I suspect your hammer is too small.
Spray the oil on center hole and reach in back and spray inside that area too.
