2000 Ford Focus ciggerate lighter

My cigerrate lighter hole which I use to operate my car vacuum cleaner is not functioning any longer.I tried my vacuum cleaner in three different cars and the vacuum cleaner works perfectly could you please ttell me what is causing this and how to remedy situation?Thanks

Hello,

First you should check the fuse. Replace it if it's blown. If the fuse is fine, check for battery voltage at the connector (12V): if you have voltage, replace the outlet, if you don't have voltage look for disconnected/bad wire, short, etc.
