Electrical problem
2002 Ford F250 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 62000 miles

f-250 with v-10, cleaned battery terminals and reconnected. Now door open indicator light stays on, electric locks won't work, interior lights don't come on when doors are open, automatic head lights don't work. Can turn lights on man. Local shop got a code of P1786, which refers to the 4x4 system, with auto. Locking hubs, which seems to be working alright. What now?

I'm not sure if you can read that, it's part of the wiring for interior lamps. Autozone has a web site, lots of wiring diagrams. Click on( vehicle repair guides) follow the links, click on wiring diagrams. You will have to surf through what they have, to find what you want.

According to forum rules, I don't think I'm supposed mention other web sites. So, you didn't hear that from me. As far as the interior lamps, I'd start testing at the interior lamp relay. It should be located in the central junction box, under the dash next to the steering column. I hope it's labeled.
