I have a 1993 Ford F-150 the front tank works but the rear tank has not worked in 3 years .. the other day gas filled up the back tank and is now leaking out of the back tank... The truck has the 4.9l motor..
I am thinking a new back tank a fuel pump.. But I was wondering if it is possible to unhhok the rear tank and just run the fuel feed and return line to the front fuel pump only and just have a on tank system or do I have to go buy a back tank, fuel pump, switching valve thing... and all that... I can get a tank and pump at a junk yard for about a $100.. But I dont think this is the whole problem... As it did not leak gas out the back tank for 3 years it just started doing it recently...[img:e0fd2fadcf]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/68182_SANY0258_1.jpg[/img:e0fd2fadcf]
