EGR Excessive Flow

1997 Ford F150 122,000 miles. The check engine light is on and reads "EGR excessive flow". I have replaced the valve and cleared the code. After driving the truck for 10 minutes the check engine light came back on with the same code. Any suggestions? Thank you.

DPFE sensor. Known problems on fords.
