2002 Ford F150 Mass air flow sensor

I have the "service engine soon" light on. Diagnostic codes P0171 & P0174 are on and I was told by Autozone the Mass Air flow sensor needs to be replaced.

Do you agree? Do you have a procedure for that?

i agree, but before doing that i would clean off the contacts inside the sensor where the air goes through with qd contact cleaner.

if they get dirty it will throw that code as it isnt reading properly. either that or you have a vaccum leak after.

check those first before replacing the sensor, as the sensor isnt the cheapest thign aroudn.
