2001 ford f150

I have a 2001 Ford f150 2 wheel drive with 80,000 miles, I rotated the tires today and the rear driver side tire had a oily substance on the inside of the wheel. ANY ideas what it is, ,I checked the brake fluid and it is fine.

i would believe it to be an axle seal. pull the wheel and drum (if you have drums), and check to see if thats it. good luck.
