Having issue with heater control. When I bought the truck over 3 years ago the heater core was replaced. As of last year I've had to keep my control dial toward cold just to get a little heat.

Are you saying the only way to get any heat is to keep the dial toward cold? And then you only get a small amount of heat?

Yes thats what is happening and on real cold mornings I have to start my truck early to warm it up then a few minutes into my ride it's like I have no heat

I need you to check something. With the engine running, hot, and the heater on, feel both heater core hoses to make sure they are both hot. Let me know what you find.
