My brake lights are stuck on and will not go out unless I take the battery cable off.
What can I do?

More then likely the brake light switch has failed. You can try pulling up on the brake pedal and see if they turn off. I attached the replacement process as there is no adjustment process for this switch. I would replace the switch and retest.
