1997 Ford F-150 3RD DOOR

Did this on S-10. Remove 3rd door handle, on S-10 there were 2 rods. Supposed. To be attached to rear side of handle (one to upper latch---one to lower latch). Only the top rod was still mated to handle assem. Used finger (could touch) then part of coat hanger bent into hook to LASSO the lower rod. Once we had it, we grabbed it w/ needle nose pliers and pulled upat same time pulled down on handle [upper rod] (still dangling, where we still had it removed). Handle assem. Broke on backside. Replaced it. All well
