1988 Ford F-150 idling crazy 88 F-150

Hello I have had this truck for a while and it was doing good till one day only in drive it would coast in idle then take off fast by itself as if it was getting extra gas then the same day it starts running fast even in park then it will stop for a couple of seconds then do it again and it only does it when the truck is fully warmed up I know it needs a tune up but I think that might have nothing to do with this maybe some sensor?

When performing tune up unhook the batteyr and leave it off all day, then the next day hook it up when finishing up your tune up and start it. Does it idle better then? If not you might want to be checking for a faulty IAC control, its locatedd on the side of the throttle body.
