I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Sport with a V6 and 120,000 miles. I started hearing a clunking noise around the front drivers side tire. I had the tires checked, they are almost new, and there was no problem. Today, it started to squeel and clunk, especially when turning. It sounds like something has broken loose. I was worried I wouldnt get home. I live in the country, a single mom, and could really use your advice. I am scared to drive it after I got it home. I have never had any problems with this vehicle other than normal upkeep. It just sounds like metal clunking and squeeling by the tire, mostly when I turn.
