2002 Ford Explorer IDEAS FOR WHAT IS WRONG

I HAVE A VIBRATION THAT FEELS LIKE IT IS COMING FROM THE REAR END OF MY VEHICLE WHEN I REACH 55-60 THEN GETS WORSE WHEN I GO FASTER BUT WHEN I LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR IT COMPLETELY GOES AWAY CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS MIGHT BE

I would start by checking the universal joints. Also, rotate the tires to see if the vibration changes. If you presently feel it in the seat and floor, it's the rear. If you feel it in the steering, it's the front.

Let me know what you find.

I had my tires rotated and balanced and one of the mechanics in the my shop looked at my u joints and he said they looked good

IF the u-joints and balance is good, then I would recommend having the wheel bearing and checked as well as the output bearing from the transfer case and input at the differential.

Also, is there any noise associated with the vibration?

There is a real low bass noise associated with the vibration
