How do I change the fusable link?

Hi
you cut the bad one out and splice a new one of the exact same amperage.
But first you will want to find out what is burning them out

What kind of things would cause it to burn out. It was really melted and I am having a very hard time geting off the nut holding it on. I have tried everything. It is like welded on there from the heat.
