I have an issue with my brake lights. My brakes work fine, the truck stops on a dime if I have to but I have to put my brake pedal as far to the floor as it will go for my brake lights to come on. Anyone have idea as to why this might be happening?

What it sounds like the stoplight switch is going bad. Have checked to find out if adjustable, but found no reference to adjusting. The switch is located on the upper part of the brake pedal arm and connects the switch to the brake push rod.
