Electrical problem
1997 Ford Explorer V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100K miles

I cannot shut the driver's side door. The latch on the door is closed and I can't pry it open or pop it open using the power lock and unlock. I tried hitting the unlock button repeatedly while opening the door handle repeatedly, but it won't pop open. The door just hits the car and bounces back.

I can't drive it with the door open, so not sure how to fix it and could use some help (my 19 year old daughter uses it for school).
Thanks!

You need to hold the door handle open and use a large screwdriver to pop the claws apart. Get some white lithium grease into the claw area so it will funtion without sticking.
