In my 96 explorer. When I turn on headlights all other lights on radio and dash dim to almost off. Battery and alternator are all good. Got free check at auto zone. Got back codes p0113 and p0500. What are these and how can I fix?

The codes probably have little or nothing to do with the lights, P0500= Speed sensor cicuit and P0113= Intake air temp circuit. I would check the battery cables and the alternator, if it dims when the lights are turned on, and the voltmeter reads less than 9volts, false codes will set because the PCM isnt working correctly. Fix charging system and clear the codes, if they reset, then you have a problem. Test the alternator yourself, forget Autozone tests, may be OK but SOMETHING in your charging system is buggy!
