When the explorer sits for approx. 1/2 hr. It will not start. It appears that it is not getting gas because if given a shot of ether it starts. Once running it runs fine. It also starts easily cold and if started within a few minutes. I have changed air filter, cleaned throttle body, plugs, wires, coolant temp. Sensor, oxygen sensors, and cleaned the egr. Valve to no avail. Any suggestions?

Hook up a fuel pressure guage and check the pressure with and without the regualtor you can knock out the fuel filter/pressure regulator and fuel pump at the same time if you perform it correctly.
