1996 Ford Explorer bad transmission?

When the explorer is driving in over drive it will stop like the brakes are being applied. Not locking up. Just a hard brake. This only happens in overdrive. Im guessing I have a bad transmission. Is there anything I can try before I bring it somewhere

Hi there,

I would suggest that you get this checked ASAP as there have been examples of these transmissions failing after experiencing similar concerns, get this look at now,
