1993 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

outline of battery (red) on the dash stays on. Just replaced the battery 3 days ago but the light just now came on. I wonder if the battery is getting charged or if tyhe alternator is good

The battery red light indicates that there is a problem with the charging system on your truck. You need to check the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running, and it should read over 13.2 volts. If you get 12.5 volts or less the battery is not recharging
