I bought my explorer about two months ago and after a long trip whenever I first start up the vehicle I can get it into reverse just fine but when I shift into drive, it doesn't catch it takes it a few seconds and then it catches and I can drive but when I get to a slight incline and brake it will fall out of gear. The fluid and filter have been replaced what do you think it is.

Hi there,

This will have to be tested by a trans tech with the correct testing equipment, second guessing these problems is not the way to do a correct diagnosis, a test and report should be the first action, the problem may well be mechanical, dose the shifter slip out of gear as well of does nit stay in position and the trans jumps out internally?
