1991 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

My car has been sitting for about 6 mos. I put gas treatment and fuel stabalizer in the tank. Now, I can start the car, and it stays started. However, when I drive it, I can make it down the road a few thousand feet, and it shuts off. When I turn the key, it cranks, but doesn't turn over and start. I had it toed to the house, and it started up, but when I drove it again, it did the same. I appreciate any feedback. I just found this site and may donate later if I get a response. Thank you kindly.

Hello, have you done any basic testing? Can you check for codes?

Have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs, if you have spark everywhere, check fuel pressure. You need to do the testing when the problem is ongoing.
