Hello, have a 90 Ford Escort, 4 door hatchback, 4 cylinder, manual 5 speed. My car starts fine but then stalls when I come to stops. I have an O2 sensor replaced and it didn't work. The code comes up as code 87 when the diagnostic is read. No one can find out what is wrong with it. It only has 77,000 miles on it and it is good shape otherwise. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

For a start try checking the EGR system
