We have 1999 Ford Escort Wagon the Brake seem to have sringy sound when stepping on the Brake pedal. What could cause this problem and what can we do to correct this problem? Plea let me know. Janet Burke Email: janetleeburke@hotmail. Com

If the sound comes from the pedal are, put some white lube on the pivot, were the switch is, if it's from the back brakes, remove the drums, and inspect. You need to either clean and adjust or replace them. If you replace, remeber to lube the backing plate, and use NEW hardware.
