Whenever the engine is cold the idling speed is always high around 2000rpm and it drives like auto. It would go back to normal idling speed after maybe 5-10 minutes of driving.I have tried disconnecting the maf when the engine is cold for a few minutes and then connect it again. No noticeable improvement. Have replaced the idle speed control valve, coolant sensor and the distributor lead. It is still idling hgh. Could it be the speed sensor?
please help.

Probably not the speed sensor. But you may want to check other senors such as the ETC. The high idle is computer controlled, If the computer doesn't register engine temp, it still thinks it cold and will continue to maintain high idle.
