1997 Ford Escort check enigine light dont work at all

i did not no that the light did not work at all when i bought it used. and faild inspection. 06/05/10 . looks like its not the bulb i got it out with out taking dashboad a part not easy but i did it bulb looks excellent. what is the propblem my alternator, or computer circuit, who should fix this a garage? or dealer?

Hi there,

There will be a bit of testing to find the exact cause, a competent mechanic should be able to do this, but first get an assurance that they will not spend hours looking.

it was the bulb at least this garage was honest, i look at the bulb with readers, mag glass. fooled me. and your right cant word all of it . but it worked out. thanks for the advice. money is tight here and you guys have helped me save money
