1997 Ford Escort check enigine light dont work at all

I did not no that the light did not work at all when I bought it used. And faild inspection. 06/05/10 . Looks like its not the bulb I got it out with out taking dashboad a part not easy but I did it bulb looks excellent. What is the propblem my alternator, or computer circuit, who should fix this a garage? Or dealer?

Hi there,

There will be a bit of testing to find the exact cause, a competent mechanic should be able to do this, but first get an assurance that they will not spend hours looking.

It was the bulb at least this garage was honest, I look at the bulb with readers, mag glass. Fooled me. And your right cant word all of it. But it worked out. Thanks for the advice. Money is tight here and you guys have helped me save money
