1995 Ford Escort Timing Belt

I have a 1995 Ford Escort LX. I recently had the timing belt replaced. Ever since I got my car back, it dies when idling and the cruise control does not work. Could these problems be related to getting my timing belt changed?

Make sure your timing belt is on correct
and it s not off by a tooth
check idle valve
for the cruise check fuses
