I am having problems getting heat in my cabin. To make a long story short here is what has been replaced.

-water pump
-new head and head gasket
-new thermostat
-new temp sensor
-cooling system has been flushed

It seems to stay warm when driving at slow speeds but completely cools down when I am on the highway. The temp gauge also is showing very cool fluid and moves up and down but never goes past 1/3 of the scale. I was thinking about replacing the heater core but it makes no sense because I get heat under certain conditions. Someone told me to put cardboard in front of my radiator but I have tried that before and it doesn't help plus it is not a real solution. I don't believe the heater core has a control valve. Any help would be appreciated before hypotermia sets in. LOL. Thanks.

Damn that sucks man. Sound like you did a process of elimination by doing the common repairs for the problem. Sounds like you might be right about the heater core and I know those are a pain in the ass. It's gotta be plugged up or something. Try feeling both of the hoses going to the firewall that goes to it and if one of them are not warm and thats most likely the culprit. See if any hoese are clogged up or see if the thermostat that you put in is a high temp one. Hope this helps.
