1990 Ford E-Series Van Please help.

My van is a 3/4 ton. I have no resistance in the ignation switch.I replaced the switch. Still no acc or resistance.I can jump the van from the starter switch on the fire wall. It will not get out of park.

The ignition switch it self does not turn on the moter so to speak. Rather the swith activates a slide switch that sends the current to everything else like the acc and so forth so I woul;d suspect that is where you should now look. Usually that is somewhere farther down on the steering collum and conects to the ignition switch by way of a metal rod or sometimes a plastic one
