2001 Ford Crown Victoria check engine light & rough idl

Check engine light stays on and has code for #8 cylinder misfire. It has a rough idle when in drive. I change the plugs and #8 ignition sensor. Engine light stayed off 2 days and came back on with the same code and rough idle when in drive. Need help

Switch the igniton components with another cylinder, does problem move to that one or stay the same?

Possible bad intake manifold. There was a problem with CV intake manifolds which caused ignition coils to become fried out due to leakage of coolant into the plugs and coils. If your car is shaking or the engine seems like it is jumping when running, then get it replaced ASAP! Unfortunately it is not a cheap ordeal. I had the same problem but cylinder #7. It cost me around $1300 to get manifold replaced and new coils and plugs. Get it checked out soon if you can.

Yes I remember that and I agree with the one above

also there was a coolant hose routing there that after research I found was relocated to another area due to it leaking on the igniiton coil, very sensitive items they are.
