My 1985 Grown Vic all of a sudden it going from running at a normal idle to running at a very high idle.
This starts only when I have to stop at lights. This just started, first the engine light for the charging system came on, after I cleaned the posts, it went out, and now the choke problem.
Pls help me, my mechanic has no clue as to what would cause this.

Thanks
Ron

Hi well sounds like either a intake gasket leak or base gasket. Try cleaning the throttle bore with carb cleaner I do this with the eng running but be careful. It has to be a vac leak or idle sensor. Billymac
