I have an 1998 ford countour whic I bought used. The vehicle takes about 10 attempts before it starts. When it starts the vehicle acts as if it is flooded. When I place it in drive it bogs down and acts as if it is trying to stall and turn off, I have to put it back in park and press the accelerator very very slowly until it idles at about 2000 rpms. Once I have left it on I drove it to auto zone to get the codes from the check engine light. On my way I noticed that the temp started to rise from normal to near the red mark indicating hot. As I accelerated and increased in speed I noticed the car would back fire and sputter as if it was running out of gas or flooding, a type of tugging and pulling motion. As the car reached about 50 mph I let of the gas pedal slowly and the vehicle would not tug and stall as much, the temp even went back to normal a little. The codes that the meter produced were: p0301 p0300 p0136 p0141 p0135. Someone had mentioned to check the MAFS while some have said to check the throttle body sensor. Just need to know if some of these codes appear because of other codes, for instance will one code cause a chain reaction for other codes. I am just wanting to figure out where to start to attempt the repair. This vehicle was bought to fix a car for my sone to go to school otherwise I would just take it to a local shop which would be unaffordable for me. Thanks in advance for any help.

P0141 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0135 HO2S Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0136= Not found. Looks like 02 sensor problems, or circuit is grounding! Check wires to Bank 1.

Unplug the mass air flow sensor so computer goes back to the default setting, drive car, if it stops doing it, that's your problem. It's on the bottom side or air tube between air filter and throttle body
