What would make the fuel emissions light come on?

Hello,

On these vehicles the fuel emission light comes on every 60,000 miles as a reminder to service the emission system.
This basically means that the emission components like the EGR valve, oxygen sensor, and other components need to be inspected and serviced as necessary.

After the services have been performed the light will need to be reset.

I have attached the emission light reset procedure below.
