1996 Ford Aerostar Overdrive light on shift lever blinks

The overdrive light on my shift lever blinks every once in a while, and when it's blinking, transmission has a hard time working properly. Pull over, turn the vehicle off, turn it right back on again, and it's no longer a problem. Is this a fuse or a wiring problem?

Tranny problem?
You need to check tranny for codes as it telling u you have an issue in it and it need to be checked
its a wide possibility (relays, solenoids, clutches, ... )
codes will narrow it and pin point it
