Hi, my vehicle is overheating constantly. Gauge is in the red a mile after starting. Coolant okay, fan runs. Owner's manual suggests I check the 'water pump belt drive'. What is this and how can I find it?
Thanks!

Good afternoon.

The water pump is driven by the timing belt which is under the front cover. The timing belt connects the cam to the crank. This belt is preset and should never have to adjusted.
