I have a 1995 348 Spyder.

A new timing belt was put on at 12,226 miles on Oct 25, 2004.

The Ferrari mechanic states that I need a new timing belt now with 18,625 miles. In order to replace this timing belt they have to drop the engine to replace at about $ 3,000.

Question? Is this correct? Do I need another timing belt with 6,389 miles driven over a 4 1/2 year period?
