My check engine light is on and I went in to get it checked out. Turns out the error code is P2135. It is the throttle body position sensor. However, I am not sure which part of the car is triggering the error. Is it the pedal or is it the throttle body located underneath the hood? I will also post a photo of what I am talking about. Maybe someone can help?

Thank you,
Jake

P.S. I am kind of an amateur when fixing cars. I replaced the head on my car and the head gasket as well as the water pump, timing belt, and even timed the thing myself. I just need some direction on this because I do not know which sensor I am focusing on.

Trouble is it can be either the pedal or the throttle body, often it is a problem at the throttle body position sensor. Unfortunately, the pin point test for both is extensive and complex. Is this something you are confident in testing? If not a dealer should be able to do a scan with a dedicated tester and narrow down the problem fairly quickly.

Where is the throttle body postion sensor located? Is that on the throttle body itself, or is that the sensor located behind the pedal? Thank you!
